I have been sailing since 1981 in the Tampa Bay area and now on Lake Lanier. I have raced in the DIYC Thursday Night Series, Tampa Bay Race Week, Labor Day overnigh race, Clearwater to Key West and the Regata del Sol al Sol. In the Regata del Sol al Sol I have crewed with Bel Esprit, on Vagabond (we won that race with a corrected time of 72 hrs.) and upon a Swan 465. I know the proper course for victory to Isle Majuries. I also am a very good cook. I make certain one warm meal is served daily, plenty of coffee and warm soup fo! r the night watches. 1st meal has plenty of fruit along with rolls and mid-day has sandwiches. I prefer crusing as I just don't like chasing a sail at night, but will crew no matter what. |

I grew up in the Midwest pleasure sailing and racing on inland lakes. I mofed to San Francisco and raced on the Bay and ocean on boats ranging from 23 feet to 50 feet. I moved to Florida and sailed on an Islander 36 and owned a couple of Sunfish. Recently I was 1st Mate on an Irwin 68 for 10 months. It spent some time at Sailor's Wharf undergoing a refit and then we travelled to Isla Mujeres, where we stayed for 4 1/2 month, and then on to Belize. |
